3D Lighting and Texturing Demo Reel 2012 – Updated

Good morning everyone. I just finished working on my tight deadline project, and I hope to be able to upload the link to everyone once it’s all ready up and going on Facebook. When I finally had the time over the weekend, I updated my Demo Reel with some of the works I did in 3rd Year. I felt it was a bit lacking in objects, so I added more! Enjoy the rest of the week, and another update will be coming from me soon!

Work In Progress

Hi everyone!  It’s week 11, and almost time for Demo Reels to be finished.  I am not in the process of rendering my first scene which is the cartoony one below, and still finishing up on texturing the second scene which is the miniature looking room way below.  Two more weeks, and I really need to push it to get this perfect.  I think I can still do it, but who really knows.  At least I might be able to relax this weekend because it is Rendering weekend, but the moment I get back to school on Monday, I’m going to need to kick it up into high gear. Wish me luck! Only 2 more weeks before my due date!

I love drawing skulls, ever since Matt Cassan got us to do them.

Lighting a Haunted Hallway

This first one is the original image rendered from Maya.

This one is done with an addition of some photoshop work.  Not too much, just a  bit to add to the suspense.

Then I did this brighter version because I’m afraid of other people’s screens not being able to see this properly.

NOTE:  I only made did the textures.  I got the Model from 3Drender.com

Happy Halloween!

I’m Still Around

Sorry for being out of the radar.  I’ve been busy with learning something new.   Here’s a small piece. Both done in maya.  The one below is enhanced with some Photoshop.  I need to learn more.  I got the model from 3drender.com.

My Idea of a Year Book Cover

I’m a bit of a narcissist, but that’s okay.  I really want to be the poster girl for my school’s year book, so I seriously did this work, and submitted it to my prof.  I like how it turned out, and I do hope I at least become a runner up.

Flash Animation Update

Here are my Flash Animations that I worked on during Second Year at Seneca.

This first one  is actually done in Toon Boom. I used a wav file from MovieWavs.com. However, I built and designed the character, as well as animated it.

This second one, I also designed, built, and animated the character. I also did the voice for the character.

This third and final ones are a group cartoon my whole flash class worked on. I was the assistant director of the film, as well as a million other jobs that Barney just kept giving me. I accepted them all with charm, because I enjoyed working on the class cartoon, and I also like working with flash. The voice is done by my classmates, and the music is done by Sheesham and Lotus! The film is called The Candy Bayou! We will have a premiere night of it in Toronto, sometime in July or August. More details to come soon.

Classical Animation Update

Hello everyone!  It’s been about a week since my last update.  Work has finally become very busy.  However, I decided to post up all my animations in this one post.  Well, the classical ones at least.  I will post my flash animations later tonight, after I’ve finished rendering them and stuff.

Long Life Drawing Session

I had a 3 hour life drawing session the other day, and it was fun!  I used dry media on this one, pastels, pencil crayons, and some charcoal.  My first and foremost reason to do a long session is so learn the over lap of the muscles, and the way the skin wraps around them.  So really, I just wanted to study, although I did forget to bring my anatomy book during this session.  But I definitely will bring my book next time, when I do water colours.

Here is a detailed shot, higher res:
